Sinofsky apologizes to Guthrie – In 2011 BUILD conference, Silverlight received little to no attention and Sinofsky won the battle but has now lost the war, and has since had a change of heart. Incompatibility between vendors has won, just like it did with all the previous versions of HTML. Sinofsky states, “It seems that multi-billion dollar organizations can’t always agree on how to create HTML5 controls, and remain compatible with each other – who KNEW? I apologize for sidetracking Scott and the team that supported the cadence of the Silverlight team”. The question now is, can Scott again capture the magic and regain the momentum they once had….
